Expansion of a fire alarm system to protect a new building
The flexible fire alarm system that we previously installed for the school, allowed us to easily increase the number detectors and alarms to the new building with minimal disruption.
The project:
This is a school that we have been working with for many years, over this time we have provided them with many services from fire safety systems to security. Recently, they finished the development of a new building that expands the school and provides exciting new opportunities for the students and staff.
When contacted by the school, we were asked to help them expand their fire protection into their new building. Of course, we were happy to help and arranged an out-of-school-hours site meeting to provide us with all the information we needed about the building, and how many detectors we needed and allowed us to begin the planning process to find the perfect locations to install the products.
Following this we arranged a time to visit in the school holidays before the new building was opened, this meant that we were able to work without disrupting any of the school's operations.
The fire alarm system that our team previously installed used a system that was easy to expand and allowed us to easily fit additional alarms and detectors, without the need to change the existing system.

Overcoming the challenges faced in schools & colleges:
Due to the nature of the school, we arranged a time that suited the customer. To ensure minimal disruption and easy access, we found the perfect time was outside of term time and before the new building was opened. This allowed us to work freely and didn't cause distractions for the students.
